Indira Sánchez finds inspiration in the harmony of nature and science…

Meet Indira, a native of Valencia, Venezuela, who was raised in a close-knit, education-focused family. With a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, she dedicated nearly a decade to the food and pharmacy industry. However, art has always held a special place in her heart, nurtured by her craft-loving grandmother, Celina.

Indira's journey into the world of paper began at the age of eleven when a chance encounter with a Japanese friend of her grandmother introduced her to Origami, the art of paper folding. This marked the start of her lifelong passion for paper.

In 2016, Indira relocated to the United States, where she uncovered the enchanting realm of paper flowers. Driven by curiosity and a thirst for knowledge, she delved into various paper types, experimented with coloring techniques, and explored materials like crepe paper, cotton, air-dry clay, and plaster of Paris. Her journey of learning and skill expansion continues to this day.

Today, Indira calls Katy, Texas, her home. She captivates those who appreciate the beauty of paper art and understand its potential in the business world. Her influence extends to commercial brands, handmade boutiques, weddings, and loyal clients worldwide.

“As a paper artist, my mission is about more than just copying what I see. I want my creations to capture nature's beauty and stir up memories and emotions. Through my carefully crafted paper botanicals, I hope to bring happiness and wonder to those who see them”.
